Gascony
Lying in the South West corner of France between Bordeaux and Toulouse, Gascony has an enduring and rich history. The southern lands of the mediaeval Angevin Empire, the birthplace of D'Artagnan and The Three Musketeers (their statues stand outside Saint-Pierre Cathedral in Condom), and the pilgrim route of Saint Jacques de Compostelle.
Today, the region is also famed for armagnac, scrumptious wine, mouth-watering local cuisine, and wide undulating sunflower-filled landscapes.

Getting Here
The property is situated 25 minutes drive south of Agen in the rolling mediaeval Gascon hills, and about 5minutes from the town of Astaffort where one can find the local boulangerie, Intermarché, bank, grocers, pizzaria, bar, etc.
The closest village, Pergain-Taillac has an excellent butchers. With Lectoure, Condom, Nérac and La Romieu all within 20 minutes and hold excellent restaurants, markets, festivals, and glorious churches/ abbeys to visit.
Airports: Toulouse, Bordeaux, and Bergerac are all each 1hr15/30mins drive from the house.

La Ferme Aux Grives, Eugenie Les Bains - a long drive but worth it for the gourmand out there

Activities
Tennis - the local village of Lectoure has a good court (we can share the contact), or the tennis club in Agen (in-door and out-door courts and padel courts) is also excellent (www.aspassagetennis.com).
Water Parks - plenty within 20mins and one only 5mins away in Lamontjoie, perfect for the children and childish adults.
